Teacher Talk Forums and Bookstore

We’ve added two great new features at Effective Teaching Solutions. First, we added a great new forum for teachers. Go ahead and register and let’s get talking! We also added our Effective Teaching Bookstore powered by Amazon. We filled it with great children’s books and professional books. Please go through us to purchase your books. Your purchase helps us to keep our site online. The more content we add, the bigger the site gets, the more expensive it becomes. Welcome to Effective Teaching Solutions!

We are ringing in the new year with a brand new look and lots of great new resources. We’ve added content to several areas of our site, a teacher’s lounge, math pages, panda pages for kids and more!

At this time we are linking you to our former pages for our popular Reading Workshop and Writing Workshop lists. We are in the middle of creating an updated list with new features and extra goodies.

We are in the process of creating a lesson plan archive. Please visit ETS and submit your lesson plan today!

Do you have a great recipe? We are collecting recipes for a “Teacher’s Lounge Goodie Day Recipe Ebook”.  We would love to include your recipe. Once we have gathered a sufficient amount of recipes we create a free ebook to download from our site.

Check out our new math pages. We put together an extensive annotated math and literature list, lots of pdf files, and some great links to the best math sites on the web.

Do you love children’s literature as much as we do? We’ve reviewed a few picture books. Check out our Children’s Literature Book Nook for great books and teaching possibilities. Our goal is to add new reviews each month. Help us out by reviewing your favorite children’s book.

Do you have a classroom website? Send us a link to your site and you will automatically have the opportunity to receive our “Golden Apple Award for the Best Classroom Websites.” You can place your award on your site! We will place a link to your site on ours so other teachers can get ideas for setting up their sites. We’ve also created a page of “Free Webtools for Teachers.” We’ve gathered a great list of graphics, counters, and other free tools to enhance your site.

See into our future…we are planning on adding a complete forum, and eventually an auction site just for teachers to buy and sell classroom materials and supplies from each other.
